Mazda announced that it will introduce the concept of crossover sports car of Minagi. Plump car was not scheduled to be produced but Mazda have made in the SUV category champion. New York Times reported, such as Shinari Mazda sedan concept, which was first exhibited last August, Minagi is an example of the new design theme Kodo.

Kodo, according to Mazda translated as "soul movement," which replaces the Nagare design theme of Mazda introduced in 2006.
Nagare is translated as "flowing," so at least linguistically, there are remnants of Nagare in Kodo.

Mazda will show some devices Skyactiv in Geneva, including gasoline-powered engines berinjeksi, an environmentally friendly turbocharged diesel and two transmissions.
Mazda released a few details Skyactiv components in October. Gasoline-powered engine has a direct berinjeksi 14:1 compression ratio, larger than the current gasoline-powered engines.
According to Mazda, the compression ratio improves fuel efficiency and torque by 15 percent compared to conventional designs. The diesel engine is also registered with a ratio of 14:1, which optimizes the burning time to produce an increase in fuel efficiency 20 percent.
