Silverstone - Valentino Rossi is testing the 1198 Ducati at Silverstone, England. The motor will be signed by The Doctor and the next to be auctioned at a charity event to donate Riders for Health.
"This is a unique opportunity to experience a piece of history with the Ducati MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi. The bike will attract collectors, motor racing fans and the money will raise money for charitable purposes,"stated by Ducati in a statement as reported by autoevolution.
"The money donated by the Ducati is to be donated to Riders for Health event. Furthermore, to mobilize health workers with a reliable bike and train them in basic education so that they are able to provide routine health care to remote villages, "explained Ducati.
1198 Ducati motorcycles are still in police numbers, complete with indicators and mirrors, it is usually used for demonstration of potential buyers. Rossi completed 30 laps capable with Ducati in 1198. It used Rossi as well as to familiarize themselves with the British MotoGP ahead of the Silverstone circuit.
Rossi signed in 1198 and the motorbike is on display at the Riders for Health Day of Champions, on June 9 and it will be auctioned on 11 June.
"The bike is really fun. After a few laps with the Ducati Superbike 1198, there were problems with electronic systems. We also decided to use the 1198 version of the public. I really liked the track at Silverstone and 1198 are very comfortable ride," revealed by former Fiat Yamaha rider and Repsol Honda.
