Skoda Auto India, a fully owned subsidiary of Skoda Auto a.s., Czech Republic and one of the most promising automobile companies in India, today announced a sales growth of 30% for the month of May 2010. Skoda Auto India’s total sales for May 2010 stood at 1381 units against 1062 units in May 2009. Skoda Auto India has registered a sales growth of 74% for the period of January to May 2010 as compared to the same period last year.
The company sold a total of 8176 units from January to May 2010 as against 4695 units for the same period last year. All the Skoda models including Superb, Laura, Octavia and Fabia have been setting benchmark in their respective segments.
Speaking on the achievement Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales and Marketing, SkodaAuto India said “Our success is a result of SkodaAuto’s commitment towards our customers to provide them with the latest technology, superior built-quality and comprehensive after sales services enhancing the ownership experience. In line with our commitment to customers SkodaAuto India inaugurated its 3S dealership in Trivandrum last week catering to the complete portfolio of customers needs – all under one roof.”
SkodaAuto India recently introduced the Superb 1.8 TSI Petrol in Manual Transmission and the Skoda Laura 2.0 TDI CR. The Superb 1.8 TSI (MT) offers the perfect combination of the powerful TSI engine and an efficient 6-Speed Manual Transmission which not only gives better fuel efficiency (ARAI: 13.14 km/lit) but also provides more choice to our customers. The Skoda Laura 2.0 TDI CR complies by the BS IV norms, having turbocharger with self aligning blades to ensure better performance and fuel efficiency.
