Simple solution to prevent trouble on gearbox of automatic scooter or other motorcycle

Devices on the motor gear box automatic transmission has a very vital role, because the devices play an important role for replacement of gear lever position of the speed of a motorcycle.

Therefore, take care of her regularly and on time is a must to do. Only, unfortunately, the majority of motorcycle owners often forget or fail to perform maintenance.

Standard time of motor gearbox oil to change automatic transmission, especially automatic scooter, is a relatively long time and it often makes the owner lulled lazy or even forgotten.

In fact, it's problematic if the devices could pose a fatal risk. Not only the motor would not move or sudden standstill, but also the vehicle's transmission system loss. Gear ratio can be locked or sticky even though the gas lever is pulled tight.

In fact, the opposite could happen. Links between gear ratios do not occur or relieved. Because it's eroded since the end of the oil has run out or reduced.

So, how to keep the device durable and out of trouble? Here's an explanation.

Simple solution  to prevent trouble on gearbox of automatic scooter or other motorcycle

1. Oil change with the right volume.

When the oil is reduced or the quality has declined, the function of oil to protect and lubricate the parts in the device is not optimal. As a result, the parts are eroded when gearbox is used.

When the part has been eroded, although filled with new oil still will not work optimally.

Besides causing a buzzing sound, also makes the motor is not powered. Therefore, the link between the gear shift in the device that does not happen properly. As a result, the replacement teeth which should increase the acceleration and the motor power is not the case. The motor was not as powerful or loss.

At the same time, gear and axle are  working extra hard. Such conditions cause oblak ball bearing and rubber seals in the axle or home Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) torn. You also must spend more to improve some components.

So, it is advisable to change the oil every 6000-8000 miles traveled.

2. Choose the right oil.

Some have been thought that the gearbox oil change with engine oil does not cause problems. However, it's suggested that it be avoided.

Because the oil specifications for the devices it is also different from the engine oil. The proof, oil producers have also been produced. So, if there are special products, of course there is some point, that is devices that have the oil with a different character.

He recommended a special oil which is oil for the gear reduction. Today many brands and characters of this type of oil on the market.

3. Precise volume and precise specifications.

One more thing that must be considered is to not fill the gearbox oil exceeding the dose set by the motorcycle manufacturer. The reason is, when the oil is too full, the pressure inside the chamber of gear box is  higher. As a result, the rubber seals are prone to burst its banks.

As a standard measure, when to add to an existing oil, pour no more than 100 cc. However, if the oil is drained until exhausted, you should pour up to 120 cc.

For owners of automatic scooter should use oil with the recommended specifications of the official. In addition, note the consistency in the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) 10W.

4. Clean the CVT and avoid heavy loads.

In addition to changing the oil, other measures are also required to do is clean the space and CVT components from a variety of dirt and dust. Because, if the part is dirty, the transmission system including the gearbox work harder.

Do not forget to lubricate the components of the CVT by lubricants or special grease. In addition to facilitate the movement of the component when the motor is run, it will also improve the durability or prolong the life of that component.

One more thing, do not carry the load with weights that exceed the maximum capacity of the motor. Therefore, a heavy burden on the gearbox will cause the device to work extra hard on the gas when the rider pulled the lever firmly. Consequently, components that wear out quickly.
